A couple of years back I started stepping up what I put away — beginning with what I could afford and raising it over time, by an amount I was comfortable with.
It worked. I finished what I’d started.
The painful part was never the saving. It was the keeping track. When do I raise the amount? What do I end up with, and when? Am I behind? I went from notes, to a spreadsheet, to writing my own scripts, and nothing ever reminded me when it was time to act.
So I built the thing I kept wishing existed.
What we won’t do.
The safest data is the data we never asked for
So we ask for very little — a goal, an amount, a date. What you do give us is never sold, never shared, and never used to sell you an ad. A tool that needs your data to make money ends up needing more of it.
Guilt is not a feature
Nobody has ever been shamed into saving. So there’s no breakdown of where it all went, and no verdict on how you did. Miss one and you’ll get an honest number and a way forward, not a red screen.
The number is yours
We’ll do the arithmetic — when you’d finish, what it costs, what you’d end up with. We won’t do the deciding. A commitment you didn’t choose isn’t a commitment; it’s a suggestion, and suggestions don’t survive a bad month.
